- According to the Toronto Star's response for a Snickers Pie recipe, this is "a
- similar dessert" and looks pretty easy. I imagine you'd substitute Snickers for
- Crispy Crunch bars!
-
- Crust:
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1 1/3 cups Oreo baking crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
-
- Filling:
- 2 L premium vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup smooth homogenized peanut butter
- 1 cup roasted, salted skinless peanuts
- 1 2/3 cups diced (1/8-inch bits) Crispy Crunch Chocolate Bars
-
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup diced Crispy Crunch Chocolate Bars
- Hot fudge sauce, whipped cream for garnish
-
- 1. To make crust, melt butter then combine with crumbs and sugar. Press
- mixture over bottom of a 10-inch springform pan. Do not let crumbs go up side of
- pan. Place crust in freezer to firm.
-
- 2. For filling, let ice cream stand at room temperature for 10 minutes to
- soften slightly. Do not melt.
-
- 3. Place room-temp. peanut butter in a microwave-safe dish and heat 20
- seconds or until it flows. Pour over frozen crust. Spread evenly to edges.
-
- 4. Sprinkle peanuts on peanut butter and place back in freezer. Beat ice
- cream with an electric beater to soften slightly. Fold in 1 2/3 cups diced
- Crispy Crunch Bars. Spread ice cream mixture over peanuts. Smooth surface.
-
- 5. Sprinkle remaining Crispy Crunch bits over entire surface. Cover with
- plastic wrap and leave in freezer until firm, 12 hours suggested.
